The third part of the Mass Effect trilogy will bring the story around Commander Shepard and the Reapers to an epic end.
In the first part of the series Shepard had to find evidence against the renegade Spectre „Saren“ that worked together with the Geth and one Reaper Ship called „Sovereign“. He attacked the Citadel because he wanted to open a gate for the Reapers manually after the Protheans closed it. Of course this was just the main story objective and there were tons of other stuff to do.
In Mass Effect 2 the player had the option to import his/her save game from the first part and to receive special rewards for doing that as well as affect the story with decisions that were made. The objective was to find out why colonies of humans were attacked and all the humans living there were abducted. The player finds out, that a race named „Collectors“ were used from the Reapers to kill these humans and to build a huge Reaper Human out of their corpses.
In Mass Effect 3 the Reapers are attacking the Earth and want to eliminate the whole human race. Shepard warned them that they would come. But, as everyone actually expects, the government on the earth doesn’t believe him just like the council on the Citadel didn’t believe him in the first part of the game. For some reasons the Company named „Cerberus“, that saved Shepard from death in the second part, is his enemy in the third part. Just like said above, the Reapers are attacking earth and Shepard is the only men that can save humanity. He can only stop the Reapers by receiving help from all other races in the Space. Again you can import your save game from the second part and change how the races will respond to the Reapers and Shepard as well as many many side-effects. If Shepard is successful and saves the earth and how he saves it depends only on the player and his methods. Last but not least, ME3 will future much more RPG content then the second part.
Prepare to enjoy an awesome end and review of this trilogy next year!
